![]() Several years ago, I decided to forgo making resolutions for the new year, and instead decided to focus on just one word that would set the tone for my goals. In addition, I added a detailed written planner to my routine which has been a great help as well. It helps me remember my "why" in what I do as I plan out my days/weeks/months more intentionally. I share this as we begin 2019 because I think it can be applied to birth as well. When I meet with couples in their birth planning sessions, I ask them a couple of overarching questions. "What do you want your birth to look and feel like? When you close your eyes and think about it, how do you imagine it?" I want you to know that you have the ability to make many choices for the birth you want. You have the right to have the birth you desire. Your year CAN include a positive birth experience! Let me know how I can help. I am so looking forward to welcoming new babies in the new year! Happy 2019!
